International disputes that have not reached permanent solutions lead to serious dangers that threaten international peace and security. International law has stipulated ways to resolve these international disputes by political or judicial means, such as resorting to justice or international arbitration to settle them between the disputing parties. The Charter of the United Nations, under Chapter VI, has defined multiple settlement methods.
